We’re Here For You Canada (WHFYC) is pleased to offer a one day event for Victims of Crime and Survivors Week sponsored in part by the Department of Justice Canada

We are excited to present:

Bridging the Gap: Trauma, Violence & Justice

This event will be held on Thursday, May 15th from 8:30AM to 4:30PM at 5 Nature Park Drive, Hanwell – Hanwell Place

Join us for a full day of learning, workshops, resource fair and presentations with our morning KeyNote Speaker – Roxane McCarthy as she shares her personal story as a human trafficking survivor, her resilience, recovery and how she has used that experience to help others.

Our afternoon KeyNote Speaker – Dr. Madeline Lamboley will speak about – “Forced Marriage and Honour-Based Violence: Uncovering the Realities of Gender-Based Violence”

This event is being held on May 15th to recognize and be a part of the MooseHide Campaign, Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Victims of Crime and Survivors Week. We are grateful to have a Knowledge Keeper who will open our event , start our day and set our intention for sharing and learning for what can be difficult topics.

There will be a resource fair with information tables – space is limited so if you have a community/provincial resource please email us to ask about having a table werehereforyounb@gmail.com we will do our best to accomodate you but due to limited space please ensure you have confirmation for this!

The resource table is an add on to your paid ticket for no extra fee! Based on availability!

We are excited to offer networking time at registration and in the afternoon, which will include beverages and nutritional support for our guests. We would like to thank Progressive Brunswick Credit Union for sponsoring our morning nutrition and networking break!

Our lunch will be provide a multicultural feast provided by local licensed food vendors/new comers to our province. The space is alongside nature trails providing the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and space to absorb all of the days learning and sharing!

The fee to attend is only $30 and will include a full day of education, sharing, networking, swag and great food!

If you have questions or want to know more, please reach out to us – if you would like to sponsor a ticket for someone less fortunate, you can do so and share that information with us. If purchasing MORE than one ticket, please list the names of ALL persons who are attending so we can have their name tags prepared for them! Feel free to email with any questions!
